Polar Plunge

Let it be known that I'm not a fan of Winter. It's a toss-up whether the shorter days or cold temperatures make it more unpleasant. I deliberately moved from the Midwest to the Northwest to make the Winters more palatable. That worked for a while; now I'm considering relocating to Hawai'i. So when meteorologists (aka people who can be wrong 90% of the time and still hold down their jobs) started frothing at the mouth because WEATHER dubbed with the kicky name "Bering Bomb" was going to cause temperatures to plunge across the country, I cried a little cry and pulled my down coat out of storage.
